About Prestige Driving School
All Instructors are DMV licensed and professional. They are patient, knowledgeable and will gladly assist you in becoming a safe driver. All Prestige instructors are re-trained by our own training department to ensure the safest driving practices. All Prestige Instructors are trained and must pass routine exams in defensive driving and risk management.
All Prestige vehicles are late model Toyotas, Nissans and Volkswagons. They have been selected because they are very safe and reliable. In addition, the cars are easy to learn in; the instruments are clear and understandable. All Prestige Driver Training cars are equipped with a dual controlled brake and accelerator.

TEEN DRIVERS EDUCATION AND DRIVERS TRAINING PACKAGES
DEFENSIVE DRIVING
28 HOURS DRIVERS EDUCATION
10 HOURS DRIVERS TRAINING
We have implemented this package to specifically prepare our students for the competitive and challenging nature of Los Angeles roadway systems. In addition to the minimum state requirements, the student receives an extra 4 hours of behind-the-wheel training. This curriculum created by our State Licensed Defensive driving instructor emphasizes defensive driving on freeways, canyons, and cities. We highly recommend this program to minimize risk.
BASIC PACKAGE
28 HOURS DRIVERS EDUCATION
6 HOURS DRIVERS TRAINING
This fulfills the minimum professional training requirements in California for all teenage drivers under 18 years of age. In addition to the 28- hour driver's education curriculum, they receive 6 hours of private one-on-one drivers training instruction. The student will learn the basics ranging from driving in light and heavy traffic patterns, parking, U-turns and possibly freeways.

We can take the student to the DMV for their drive test in one of our cars. We will even schedule the drive test for your convenience. Also, the student will get a 1-hour refresher before the scheduled drive test.
DRIVER TRAINING
This program consists of 6, 10 and 15- hour behind-the-wheel training packages. In addition, we have 2- hour refreshers and DMV road test services. We can even issue student licenses and begin drivers training while the student is studying to pass the learner's permit test. These lessons are conducted in one and two hour driving sessions. The first lesson will validate the students' permit to allow him/her to practice at home. Our instructors follow a comprehensive curriculum incorporating defensive driving concepts and provide the parent and student with feedback. Prestige Driving School will provide FREE pickup and delivery in our local area of all of our students and we Instruct 7 days a week. We will also be able to pick up in our local area the student from school or work if needed, upon prior arrangement.

TEEN DRIVER EDUCATION
This is a comprehensive 30- hour driver education program. The interactive format combines reading, lecture, videos and reviews. The curriculum puts special emphasis on defensive driving and safety. Passing this class earns you a driver education certificate to bring to the DMV for the permit test. You will also need to bring your:
Original Birth Certificate or Passport
Social Security Card
Signed Application form to take the test. The DMV license fee is $24.
Minimum Age is 15 1/2 years old
NOTE: Students can attend Drivers Education classes at 15 yrs. old and 0 months
Prestige Driving School will provide these classes 5 - days a week during holiday and vacation breaks. The classes are held from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday thru Thursday and on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Students don't have to attend a full day as long as they meet the required curriculum and hour requirements. There is a 30- minute lunch break and a 30- minute recess each day. Don't be late or you may lose your seat!
When high school is in session classes will be held from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. Monday thru Thursday and on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
NEW TEEN DRIVING LAW
As of July 1st 1998, new teen driving laws went into effect for the state of California. The following laws are as follows:
50 hours of behind-the-wheel training with an adult 25 or older prior to obtaining a driver's license. (these hours are in addition to the 6 hour minimum with a driving school.)
At-least 10 of these practice hours must be at night.
During the first 6 months of having a driver's license, no passengers under 20 years of age are permitted unless accompanied by an adult 25 or older.
During the first year of having a driver's license, they are not permitted to drive between the hours of 12:00 midnight until 5:00 a.m.
